Acceptable use

A template for operators running Corsair as a service.

Not permitted#

• Unsolicited bulk email. Mail to recipients who did not ask for it, in any volume, however it was obtained.
• Phishing. Impersonating a person or organisation to obtain credentials, payment details, or anything else.
• Fraud. Advance-fee schemes, fake invoices, business email compromise.
• Malware. Distributing it, or linking to it.
• Harassment, threats, or content promoting violence.
• Forgery — sending as a domain you do not control, or relaying through the service on someone else's behalf.

Enforcement#

An operator should say here what they do when a report is upheld, and how to appeal. Corsair provides the tools — per-address disable, per-account termination, and a message log — but makes no decisions of its own.

Reporting abuse#

Reports should reach the operator's abuse address. Include the full headers of the message in question; without them a report is usually unactionable.

Technical limits#

Daily send limits are enforced per account by plan, and per address if configured. They are a rate control, not an acceptable-use policy — staying under a limit does not make unsolicited mail acceptable.
